14 months old!

Caroline is 14 months old! She is a walking, talking ball of energy! I have enjoyed spending so much time with her while I am off (I do not want to go back to work!). She is basically running, can climb up steps with assistance and wants to try to do everything herself! She loves to help me do laundry (which means either taking apart the piles I have made or unfolding the folded clean clothes). She has gotten where she tries to put on clothes herself and I looked over at her while I was sorting laundry and she had a pair of my underwear on with her head through a leg hole! I took those off and she proceeded to put on one of my tank tops withher head through the arm hole. She is so vocal and talks (a lot!) in her own language. Sometimes I think I hear real words, but it may be wishful thinking! She has recently start saying Ooooh when something happens or we tell her something. She is doing great at following directions, but she also has learned what time out is this month! She is so sweet and runs and hugs mike or my mom whenever they come over. She has definitely warmed up to everyone else in the family too. She starts off shy, but quickly wants to play. She loves to play peek-a-boo and to tickle other people! She is such a sweetheart-did I mention I do not want to go back to work?!

I took some pictures of Caroline at OSU and they turned out so well. There are so many good ones it was hard to pick out just a few to put up!

Playing in the sprinler with Daegan and Maison!

Testing out the pool. She would just sit there holding her filp-flops and then randomly burst out laughing!

Having fun with the sprinkler

Ready for the water!

Tyler's grad quilt- orange and black on one side, hunting scene on the back

Went to the Lake park and fed the geese!

We went to the OKC zoo with mia, alix and tyler. Way hot, but we had a great time.

Colorado Trip

We recently went to Colorado. We stayed at a cabin in Estes Park. The people rent it out part time and live in it part time. When we got there the lady seemed shocked by the number of children. We showed her the paper she sent to us that she had put 4 adults and 4 children. She then made a huge deal of no shoes in the house and how the furniture is all antique that must be treated delicately. The house was not even close to baby proof, so while she was giving us a tour we were having to watch hands very carefully. When the lady left, we moved pretty much everything in grasp and everything went wonderfully! The grounds were big and there were rocks to climb on. We saw deer, elk, rabbits, squirrel, chipmunk and birds out the window! It was within walking distance of downtown, which was awesome. The kids were very worn out at the end of every day!

All the elk were shedding

Frozen Bear Lake

For anyone that has been here before, this is the trail around bear lake. The other times I have been here it has been wheelchair accessable. There were places you couldn't even see the trail. I could not believe how much snow was there and that it melts so quickly.

Hike to Alberto Falls-about 3.4 miles round trip, not near as much snow as later though!

Unfortunately Mike got sick while we were there and spent an entire day in bed. That day we went to the little amusement park.

Giant Slide. Caroline going down with Bryan. She was not a fan. Neither was I! Bryan took Daegan and I took Maison and the boys loved it, but I hated it!

Bumper cars-Bryan and Maison vs Jenne and Daegan. Daegan loved it, but Maison wasn't so sure.

Go-Karts

Bumper boats-Bryan and Maison and Daegan and Jenne. WE had to wait for a huge group of teenagers to move on because there were squirters on the front and they were rowdy!

Mini golf was hilarious! Daegan did well, Maison kept throwing his ball into the water/bushes and Caroline would not let go of her ball so she just ran the 18 holes!

Couldn't hit the Rocky Mountain National Park trails without a bootie tree pic!

All the lakes were still very frozen

Nymph Lake

Beautiful View! Pictures never do justice!

Hiking from Bear Lake to Emerald Lake. There was so much snow that sometimes you could not tell which way the trail went. There were two or three times that we really considered turning around and not going on. Mike was such a stud carrying Caroline. I on the other hand had so much fun, but am clumsy! Mike told me I looked like a giraffe on ice and fell a few times getting my bootie very wet from the snow, elbow banged up and hands muddy. I however did NOT drop my awesome new camera (grad present from Mike).

At Dream Lake

Sweet face! She was such a trooper! She enjoyed looking around and playing with the back of daddy's head!

At Emerald Lake- about a 3.6 mile round trip hike, which through all the snow was pretty hard.

We finally were successful in getting good pictures of all four of the kiddos. They had so much fun together!
