31 Weeks

I had my 30 week appt this past Thursday and the other two doctors were out of office, so we got to use the ultrasound machine. We couldn't get too many good face pictures because she was so low. When we were able to finally see her face for a second she had her mouth open. We were able to tell that she has hair on her head now, which was pretty cool. She is measuring ~17 inches long and weighing in at 3 pounds 6 oz. She feels so big already and it seems crazy that she will still double in weight!

This past Sunday we took some maternity pics thanks to Jenne and Carla. I love the professional maternity pictures, but I decided it was either those or the 3D ultrasound, so we decided to take a few ourselves. Here are a few.

I found out last week that I passed my three hour glucose test, so that is wonderful news. I have my next appt. tomorrow. Other than that life has been pretty unexciting...which is awesome!!

This past week has been full of baby stuff. On Weds. I had my one hour glucose screen, my 28 week OB appt and our follow up 3D/4D ultrasound. I worked all morning then went to the glucose test at 1:30. The drink was disgusting and I felt sick the entire time, but they said if I throw up I have to start over another day, so I muscled through. Found out Thursday that I failed-AWESOME! At my OB appt my bp was a little high but not too bad and I was measuring 30 weeks. By the time our ultrasound rolled around I felt terrible from skipping lunch and miss Caroline wasn't very pleased with me and hid her face.

I did my follow up 3 hour glucose tolerance test Saturday morning. You have to fast for 12 hours before, get a fasting blood draw, drink twice the amount of yummy drink and get blood draws every hour for three hours. I brought music this time and it went by relatively fast. I didn't feel at bad during the test either. But five venipuncture sticks in my arms in 3 days has left me bruised. I am still waiting on my results, so hopefully I will pass. Here is my newest belly pic...I am huge!

I have been feeling pretty good still, but she has been so active lately that I am not sleeping well. Last night she woke me up about three times doing cheerleading routines in my belly. Today I noticed I have circles under my eyes-cute! I am getting really excited about her getting here, especially working pediatrics this month. I have discovered how much I DON'T know about being a mom! I am using this month to try to learn as much as I can and I need to buy some books on taking care of baby!
