So miss Caroline is now five months old and she is becoming more active everyday! When we went to her four month appt our pediatrician told us since we are still breastfeeding that we didn't have to start solids until she was not sleeping through the night again. So the first night after the appt, she didn't sleep through the night and I chalked it up to her shots. Then the next night, she didn't and so on for five days in a row! So we started feeding her! She started at first on rice cereal and then when she turned five months she started on vegetables. When she is six months she can start on fruits. She has gotten the eating down pretty well, but for sure has banned squash from her diet. The rice cereal is like cement when it dries and I have to use the high power wipes at the hospital to get it off my watch. She is now wearing mainly 6-9 month clothes, although even some of those are getting too small!

She can roll over both ways with ease and can sit pretty well unassisted. She is grabbing for everything, mainly my hair! I got five inches cut off, but it doesn't seem to help. She is so vocal and laughs and giggles. Whenever music comes on, she will "sing" along. She got a jumper and an exersaucer and loves to play. She plays so hard and then falls asleep so hard. She and my mom go on a walk every morning and my mom wears her in a carrier. She loves the outdoors so much.

We have gone to Stillwater the last three weeks for game days and she is a great little cheerleader. We have mainly just hung out at the bagel shop and had people come and go to see us. This weekend Mike and I went to the game and Carla watched the little one for the evening.

This Sunday Caroline was christianed and we had a wonderful turn out of family. She did great even though she had not had a nap that morning. After church we went back to Wayne and Carla's for a delicious lunch. The cousins had a crazy time! I will have to put up more pictures once people email them to me (hint hint!). We are truly blessed with our little girl and so thankful for the family we have to help support her and raise her. We are getting professional family pictures taken on Oct. 24 so we are really excited for that!

I have been on my Tulsa med/peds rotation this month. The first half was at St. john's on internal medicine and the second half was at St. Francis for peds. I was unsure how I would feel about the peds portion, but I have loved it! I turned in my residency application earlier this month, which is a huge stress. I have two interviews set up and am waiting to hear from the other programs. I also got my step two board scores back. I passed and did better than I did on step one. I am ready for less stress, but I don't really know when that will be, so I am just living day by day I guess. Luckily, I have great support from Mike and my family. Honestly, hands down, the hardest thing is being away from Caroline so much more than I want to. I worked the last weekend of Sept and the first weekend of Oct, had one day off and then back at it. I also have had to take call. I only have to stay until 10 pm (not all night), but it is rough when I am leaving for work at 5:30 am, getting home at 10 pm and leaving again at 5:30 am. Especially, when she decides that we are staying up for an hour from 2-3 am because she is teething. Ugh anyway, life is rough, but it is a step I have to take if I want to get to the end (and I am too far in to back out now).
