16 Months Old!

Our sweet girl is 16 months old today! She is such a little person. She can say so many words now! You can tell the words she knows because you say "Say Horse" and she'll say her version of horse. Then you'll say "say lion" and she'll basically go blah blah. Any words she doesn't know she makes the same noise for. Recently she learned banana, house and jet just to name a few. She has learned more body parts and now is able to identify other people's body parts too. She loves accessories-shoes, bags, bracelets, you name it. She always gets matching shoes and recently she used the stacking rings as bracelets up and down her arms. She follows directions well (when she wants to!). This month has been great for hours since I am on nights so I get to spend about 5 hours a day on days I work that I get to spend with her. We have had a great time!

The swings were too hot for little legs so daddy took one for the team.

I didn't bring a towel so she couldn't get too wet, but she loves playing in water.

She was definitely displeased that we had to leave!

She has spent almost everyday doing something in the water, especially because it is so hot.

After I turned the water off, she said where did it go and kept checking it out.

She got to swim for the first time in Mia and Pops pool. I plan on letting her take swimming lessons at an indoor pool this winter, so I want to get her acclimated a little bit.

I work every weekend this month, so Mike and Caroline went to Orlando for church on Sunday. So cute!

We went and walked around a park and took pictures!

We went to the zoo today because it was only 85. I was still pretty hot, but all the animals were playful and she loved it. She watched the chimps and said monkey and made a monkey noise without prompting. She was able to pet the goats and sheep at the petting zoo. She said cah cah anytime she saw a bird. Unfortunately it is so hard to get pictures of her in a public place by myself.

We sat and watched the giraffe and had a snack in the shade. She liked watching him walk around. The zoo is close to the airport and Caroline loves watching airplanes. Every day two military jets fly over our house and it is really loud, but you can't really see them because by the time you hear them they are far away. However, while we were having our snack they took off and we could see them and hear them. She thought it was awesome, like she finally put an object to the sound. She was pointing and laughing out loud.
