Welcome to the third trimester!

We did our 3D/4D ultrasound today and it was awesome. Both sets of parents and my sister got to come watch too. We only ended up doing about half the session because she put her foot in front of her face, so we couldn't get as many shots as they wanted. So we will come back on the 4th and get to do another 15 minutes worth! It will be neat to see how much her face and body has changed in two weeks. She was literally sucking on her toes and that was pretty hilarious to watch. Here are a few pictures from the session.

99 Days Left!

This is the last week of the 2nd trimester! I cannot believe that it has gone so fast. The last couple weekends we had cleaned out all our stuff that had accumulated there because the room was where we put everything that really didn't have a place. Luckily most of the stuff went to the trash, goodwill or into our fabulous new desk. Yesterday we really got down to business on the baby's room. We started working around 10 a.m. and finished around 11 p.m. with a trip to target and lowe's and two trips to the goodwill drop off in between. We primed and painted all the woodwork in her room, put up new blinds, rods and curtains, put together the crib and changing table and arranged the room with what we have now. I am so so happy with the way the room turned out!I have been feeling great, just growing everyday! I still have tons of leg swelling. The other day I was wearing my new black cowboy boots and don't really get to sit down during the day at all. I could feel the top getting tighter and by the end of the day that top of the boot had rubbed me raw! Ouch! This picture is after working only until two and it just looks so funny!
We are doing our 3D/4D ultrasound next Saturday, so we should have some awesome pictures of our little girl coming soon!

25 Weeks

Tomorrow we will be 25 weeks and I cannot believe how fast it is going by! I only have one more week in my second trimester! It is crazy, especially when I think we only have three months to go and that three months ago seems like just the other day! I am feeling great. Besides the itchy skin, swelling and occasional nosebleeds I am having no problems! She is moving around like crazy and I love feeling her inside me. She has gotten big enough that sometimes I can see my belly move when she kicks or turns. We had a wonderful Christmas and our little girl is already getting spoiled on all sides (though we had no doubts!). Here is a picture of my growing belly, how big our baby is comparison and our family of boots (which by the way Mike told me I was retarded for taking!).

I am currently on my rural clinic rotation in Sallisaw, OK which is about an hour and a half away from Tulsa. I am rotating with a young female family practice doctor that is great! We see between 40 and 60ish patients a day mostly just your run of the mill stuff. She has an amazing brand new office and really nice staff. I have a room to stay in at the hospital that is basically like a dorm room with a bathroom attached. It isn't too bad, but it is right in the middle of the tiny hospital with the ER right down the hall, so it is really loud and I don't get very much sleep when I stay there. It should be a fun month and I am glad to be out of the hospital for a while with no working weekends in sight until like June!
