Fort Worth

We were originally going to spend a week in Memphis and Nashville for our vacation this year, but we had a very small window to go. Then my school announced that we were getting a free board review (Great!) the only week that could have worked to go on our trip (Boo!). So we took a two night trip to Fort Worth. I had always considered Fort Worth the ugly stepsister to Dallas, but both Mike and I were surprised how much fun we had and how great the city was. Mike liked Fort Worth better because it seemed less snooty. We stayed at a hotel the first night and a bed and breakfast the second night both in Sundance square.
We really enjoyed walking around Sundance Square testing out the restaurants and listening to live music. There was an outdoor concert going on Sunday, but it was $20 to get in and we didn't know anything about it so we didn't to go. It turned out to be an awesome line-up and we were disappointed we didn't go. We toured the JFK memorial in Dallas and the Texas Motor Speedway. The JFK memorial was neat, but too crowded. The Texas Motor Speedway was really neat. We also had to go to Pappadeaux's one night since it is my favorite restaurant and we don't have it in Oklahoma.
We had a lot of fun and had to go back to real life when we got back-Mike to his first day of his new job and me back to hardcore board studying. The good news though was that we now officially are a married couple that lives together!!
